APRIL:  

April 22nd, 9 am to noon: Grant Park Beach Clean Up, meet at Grant Park beach parking lot, supplies provided.

April 29th, 9 am to noon: Weed-Out, meet at tennis courts parking lot

April 30th thru May 28th;  8 am, Migration Bird Walks on Sundays; meet at Wil-o-way area 7

MAY:

May 6, 13, 20; 9 am to noon: Weed-Out, meet at tennis courts parking lot

May 7, 14, 21 & 28;  8 am, Migration Bird Walks on Sundays; meet at Wil-o-way area 7

JUNE:

June 3: 9 – 10 am, Burdock Busters, meet at the bird feeder lot (with the “no dumping” sign).
June 10: 9 – 10 am, Burdock Busters, meet at Wil-O-Way Area 7
June 24: 10 am – 2 pm, SM Historical Society Garden Tour, various locations 
June 24: 4 – 8 pm,  Wulff Lodge 100th Anniversary Celebration at Wulff Lodge
June 14-July 9: Traveling Beer Garden, Grant Park Area 5 Pavilion, 4 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. Sat. and Sun. Last beer sold at 9 p.m.

JULY:

AUGUST:

Aug. 30th: 6 to 9 pm. 7 Bridges BBQ, hosted by Newaukee. $25 per person. Buy tickets at newaukee.com.  A portion of the proceeds benefit FOGP.

SEPTEMBER:

Sept. 16th: 9 am to noon. Grant Park Beach Cleanup. Register at greatlakesadopt.org, and choose “Grant Park – South of playground to Oak Creek Jetty”.

Sept. 30th: 9 am to noon. Weed Out! Location to be determined. Check back prior to the event. Also Oct. 7th.

OCTOBER:

October 7th: 9 am to noon. Weed-Out! meet at area 5A parking lot.

October 15: 1-4 p.m., Trek ‘n Treat, Area 5 Pavilion and 7 Bridges.  An educational trek for children through the 7 Bridges ravine, costumes optional, lots of treats and activities. Handicapped accessible route available.

October 21st: 9 am to noon. Weed-Out! meet at area 7 – 8 parking lot at the north end of the park using the Will-o-Way entrance.

NOVEMBER:

Nov. 9th: 6:30 to 8 pm. FOGP Monthly meeting in the golf course clubhouse, featuring a visit from county parks Natural Areas Program assistant Julia Robson. She will share a film about the Walk to Sustain the Great Lakes that she participated in.

DECEMBER:

Dec. 2nd: 9 am to 2 pm, Winter Market at South Milwaukee High School.

Dec. 14th: 7 to 8 pm, Fowle Residence Open House in the golf course clubhouse. Immediately following a shortened FOGP meeting (beginning at 6:30), we will be giving tours of the seasonally decorated renovated clubhouse and serving cookies and hot apple cider.
